Intertextuality Study of the Play Pygmalion and the Assumption of Pygmalion Myth

The paper is aimed at discussing the relationship between play Pygmalion and myth from intertextuality point of view. Intertextuality means inter-relationship among different texts. Special attention will be paid to similarities differences myth. Both two texts are compared analyzed by focusing on three aspects: characters, plot context. From characters’ view, male female characters compared. In terms plot, both given story lines analyze. As for context, ideology in social background man power mentioned as well. By considering aspects, new insights raised about awakening roles meanwhile.
